A Campaign of Hate. And, Truly from America, to Africa. (UPDATED) And Updated again with what you can do.

I did put up this horrible poster.

[POSTER TEMPORARILY REMOVED. WILL BE REPOSTED]

David Kuria Mbote happens to be the director of Gays and Lesbians of Kenya. He wrote this article in response to some homophobic insult from a priest justifying the lynching of gay people.
And, for this poster, here is my translation of the Swahili above. It is not perfect, but I know I have it right.
Basically, besides the pic of David, with his full names, email address, ?GALCK phone number, a verse from the bible is quoted.

'If a man sleeps with another man like he sleeps with a woman, both men have done something extremely bad. It is a must for them to be killed, and their blood shall be on their own heads'
My swahili fails at the translation of what verse in the bible it is. Something, maybe Leviticus 20:23

Here is a request that David Kuria makes
I don't know whether this is an appropriate request, but am requesting you to keep in your prayers - they are putting up this poster in Eldoret, a town in Rift valley, I have no business to visit, but you can never know with these crazies...
Regards
David.
-------------
Let me complete my collage with a letter from one pissed off American in Kenya.

Some of you have already seen this hate site http://www.projectsee.com/ . This is a highly disturbing development.

First, it explicitly encourages the broad public posting of images of individuals, with a Swahili translation that basically advocates their harm through a Swahili Leviticus ‘quote’ that says death is in order. Encouraging these postings in a place like Kenya presents a very real and potentially harmful threat to their targets.

Secondly, they have put individual faces and in some cases contact information on the posters, placing some people at potentially immediate risk.

Third, this campaign and website appears to be organized and financed by U.S. citizens based on U.S. soil.

Is there no legal recourse in the U.S. to stop U.S.-based actions and financing towards the public humiliation and mental and physical harm of people in other countries? Could they not be potentially brought under criminal charges? Or at least civil?

What can we do? We can’t let this sit and get out of hand. It’s a grotesque effort by any standard, and we should take a stand and hit back at the Americans involved. And hit hard. Soon, before this gets somebody killed. Who will be next? Me? You?

----------

I am no American. But, I am a human being.

I am damned pissed off.

PS: From an Anonymous friend below, this is what you can do. Please, do go ahead and do something.

According to Who is, the projectsee.com domain was registered with godaddy.com

I don't know which ISP hosts projectsee. It might be godaddy itself, since they apparently do some hosting.
http://www.godaddy.com/default.aspx

Godaddy is operated by Bob Parsons
http://www.bobparsons.me/about_bob.php
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bob_Parsons

Bob Parsons has a blog and used to operate a web radio show
http://www.bobparsons.me/index.php
http://www.radiogodaddy.com/gdshop/live/default.asp?app%5Fhdr=&id=

The radio studio was in Scottsdale, Arizona, USA. Bob Parsons also received an award from Arizona. So, I suspect he lives there.

Depending on the location of the ISP, the Projectsee website may well be illegal. It arguably incites to murder David Kuria Mbote.

I don't have any expert knowledge about this, and I researched this only quickly due to the urgency, but I think it is worthwhile posting that readers could do this:
--ask Bob Parsons to cancel the Projectsee domain,
--ask Bob parsons to shut down the Projectsee website if he is hosting it,
--if not, find out who the ISP is and ask them to pull down the website
--contact the police and attorney gebneral where the ISP is located
--contact the various website rating firms and ask them to include Projectsee as a hate or unsuitable for children website: eg Microsoft Internet Explorer, Microsoft Bing, Yahoo search, Trendmicro, McAfee, Norton anti-virus, Google search
--find out if the posters are illegal in Kenya, and if it is safe contact the police there to ask them to arrest those who post them

Yeah, it is fairly apparent that this campaign is being fronted from Missouri, USA.

I'm not American, but I reckon that murder is a federal offense in the USA; therefore incitement to murder also likely to be a federal offense. I believe the murder that is being incited could be anywhere in the world - the act of incitement is in the USA, and could presumably be tried there. Sounds like a case for the FBI, and the president maybe should make it clear this sort of thing will not be tolerated. It gives America a really bad name, and shows the rest of the world that there are such things as Christian terrorists operating from the US.
